The Arusha Coffee Lodge enjoys a privileged location on the rolling foothills of Mount Meru. The lodge is part of one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations and the ideal base before and after your East Africa Safari. Arusha Coffee Lodge has been designed around the original landowner’s home that dates back to the early 1900s. Each of the Plantation Rooms is nestled among coffee bushes, and features a welcoming open log-fire, bathrobes and slippers, in-room electronic safe, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Centered about a main lodge - which itself encases a thousand year-old baobab tree - Tarangire Treetops comprises of 20 elevated rooms which offer unparalleled views over the tops of surrounding marula and baobab trees. Each Treetops Room boasts one of the largest bedrooms you'll find in any East Africa tented camp or lodge – with a floor space of 65 square metres – and all with an exotic double shower en suite bathroom. With furnishings that create warmth and demonstrate a commitment to local craftsmanship, the safari experience is completed by the open-fronted room design and expansive private balcony.
During your Tanzania safari, travel to The Manor at Ngorongoro, one of the first East Africa safari lodges of its kind to blend East African hospitality with old-world Afro-European architecture and decor. Each Manor Cottage Suite has a private entrance and adjoining sun terrace. A double open-fronted log-burning fireplace divides a room interior that mirrors the traditional Cape Dutch architecture. The en suite bath and shower room possesses a Victorian-style claw-footed bath, as well as twin vanity basins and large ‘rainfall’ shower.
Located in South Central Serengeti, Serengeti Pioneer Camp’s 10 tented accommodations all have en-suite facilities including a flushing toilet, vanity basin and showers, while the tent interiors are designed to evoke the very best of an era long-gone but certainly not forgotten. A dining tent hosts the guests for both breakfast and dinner, while lunch may be either in camp or in the African bush after another day on safari.
Highlighting our Tanzania Wildlife Safari travel accommodations is the Serengeti Migration Camp. Perched on the Grumeti River, Serengeti Migration Camp – one of Travel + Leisure magazine’s “Top 10 Hotels in the World” - has become synonymous with low-impact, high-action game viewing. The 20 luxurious, elevated tents are spacious with richly furnished bedrooms. Plus, every tent is surrounded by a private 360-degree veranda, creating a private sanctuary to enjoy the constant game sightings and the ever-present sounds of the bush. Each tent has an en suite shower room with flushing toilet, shower and twin vanity basin, the latter of which receives hot (solar generated) and cold running water 24-hours a day. Migration Camp tented rooms include luxuriant soft furnishings, a writing desk and stationery set and a room fan. The tents have a wooden floor, fixed bathroom walls, fixed wooden doors but all combine with the all-enveloping canvas.
